Have kids use rulers and measuring tape to measure things around the house. This can keep them entertained for quite some time and make sure they're engaged at the same time. It's a great way to practice math as well as identification. Want to make it a little harder/ more educative? Have the pictures with words in another language, for them to learn. Try Spanish or French!
